As part of the Health Behaviour in School-Aged Children survey, 24,750 children in 7 countries (Belgium, Estonia, Irael, Latvia, Macedonia, Portugal and the United States) were surveyed about their weapon carrying behaviors. Among youth reporting weapon carrying in the last 30 days, those carrying handguns or other firearms ranged from 7% (Belgium-French, Estonia) to 22% (United States) of the boys.
