The author examines toy gun designs that mirror current weapon designs, by reviewing all firearm deaths a Michigan county using medical examiner’s records from 1990 to 2000. He found an average of 500 cases of firearm deaths per year, and described seven of the most unusual self-inflicted accidental gunshot deaths.
